How would you compare Influencer Marketing with digital advertising?

In my opinion, as conventional television’s popularity declines, influencer marketing will become the way to attract younger populations. But, If your audience is diverse or older, digital advertising can serve you better than influencer marketing.

How should brands use Instagram influencers to grow their business? What is your personal experience with Instagram influencing?

I’ve seen people quickly grow their careers on Instagram without investing a substantial amount of energy into other aspects of their brand, relative to other brands and business owners. Utilizing an engaged audience is a very effective way to grow your business.

What are some common tools and strategies to help grow your presence on Instagram? Are you currently using any tools?

With over 50% of the worlds’ population on social media, people are starting to buy directly from these platforms. Facebook and Instagram have launched features for this to happen. So, the best strategy would be to post regular content with attractive images. I’m not currently using a social media tool myself but I have used Hootsuite and buffer before with success. 

I believe that Healthcare and Entertainment are two verticals that are naturally easier for influencers to gain a following with. Audiences are generally interested in these two things. 

What advice would you give to a new business that wants to gain and grow its paid sponsorships?

New businesses often make the mistake of not asking whether an influencer’s audience is appropriate for their own business. That’s why I think that businesses should perform thorough investigations into how an influencer’s content, audience, and services are in line with their own. An influencer with 1 million followers that has the right audience can benefit you more than an influencer with 10 million followers that doesn’t have an appropriate audience.

How do you think Influencer Marketing will grow among small businesses in near future?

Increased social media use will make influencer marketing more prominent. Small businesses that want to be recognized seek out influencers and use their audience. It’s a cost-effective way to promote your brand. Even established enterprises are using influencer marketing to solidify their position in the industry because they understand its importance.
