Influencer marketing involves leveraging the digital following that the influencers command on their content to promote a business. Influencer marketing can not be used to aid the bottom of the sales funnel. It is more efficient in bringing in traffic through the top and wide end of the funnel.
Digital advertising on the other hand may or may not leverage influencers as a means to gain traction. It can be used to satisfy a myriad of objectives such as gaining traction, generating interest, assisting shoppers in making valuable choices, etc.

Using Instagram Influencers can be a double-edged sword. If done right, it can yield terrific results. It has its risks though such as brand association with an influencer who may or may not develop a negative public following in the future.

I usually like to mull over the target audience at least twice before deciding the marketing channels. It all depends on reaching the right person at the right time using the right channel.

Influencer marketing is a boon for small businesses. Gaining traction has never been this affordable. You no longer need to spend millions to get the same results that big brands spend to scale your business.
