How should brands use Instagram influencers to grow their business? What is your personal experience with Instagram influencing?

Instagram Influencers are at the heart of many of the campaigns I run. They can drive authentic brand interactions. You don’t always have to work with the person with the largest following. Micro and even nano-influencers can really make a difference and are often more engaged with their audiences. This translates into a more authentic interaction with your brand.

-What are some common tools and strategies to help grow your presence on Instagram? Are you currently using any tools?

I recommend Like2Buy to create shoppable links and Ritetag or another similar product to find the right hashtags for your content.

Any business that has a visual element would be a good fit for Instagram. Influencers are often thought of in the beauty space, but I have worked with influencers that influence design companies, militaries, and NGOs. 

What advice would you give to a new business that wants to gain and grow its paid sponsorships?

Any marketing activity always comes back to what your story is. What makes your business unique? What is the story you have to tell? From there you can find partners that align.

How do you think Influencer Marketing will grow among small businesses in near future?

Influencer Marketing is critical for small businesses. It doesn’t matter the industry or the influencer’s size – influencers can play a role to help small businesses grow followers, customers and drive sales.

How do you currently collaborate with and pay Instagram influencers? Name any tools and strategies that you use.

Often the client or campaign determines the budget and it always requires a conversation with the influencer (and their management team). This is why it is critical for brands to work with an Influencer Management representative or marketplace to handle negotiations.
